Community & Relationship Development

JEO provides care and relief services for thousands of families per year, operates a Christian coffeehouse, and delivers community development courses to Arab communities.

Christian Coffeehouse

Our coffeehouse ministry is the hub of our youth projects and is located in Bethlehem. Here we regularly host youth events, allowing us to fulfill our vision of reaching young Arabs with the love of Christ in a fresh way. It is also open to the public every day allowing us to come into contact and build relationships with people from all walks of life while they enjoy good food and drink.

Bookshop

JEO operates a bookshop in Jerusalem. People are welcome to come in, read or buy books and Bibles and chat with our team over coffee. Some of our community development courses take place here.

Capacity building

We periodically offer free courses such as English lessons and parenting courses as a way to serve the community by helping them gain essential skills. It is also a great way to meet and build relationships with those around us.

Relief team

One in four people live in poverty and many face unemployment in the Arab towns and villages, therefore, the need for basic necessities is growing. As a response to this need, our relief team distributes food boxes that contain a variety of items that can feed a family of five for up to two weeks. They also make available packages of diapers, hygiene products and medicines to individuals and organizations as needed.
